Dr. Jeffrey Milsom

Dr. Jeffrey Milsom is Co-Director of the MINT Program, the Chief of Colon and Rectal Surgery, Professor of Surgery, and Executive Director of the Center for Advanced Digestive Care at New York-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell.  Dr. Milsom was formerly Colorectal Surgery Division Chief and Co-Founder of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Center at Mount Sinai and the Director of Research for the Cleveland Clinic’s Department of Colorectal Surgery.  Dr. Milsom received his M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. 

Dr. J Fredrick Cornhill

Dr. J Fredrick Cornhill is the Co-Director of the MINT program and was the founding Chair of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Cleveland Clinic and the founding Director of the Institute for Biomedical Engineering at the University of Oxford. Dr. Cornhill founded a number of medical technology companies and served on the board of several medical technology startups.  Dr. Cornhill received his D.Phil.  in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Oxford. 

Dr. Darren Schneider

Dr. Darren Schneider is the Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Director of the Center for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, and Associate Professor of Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell.  Dr. Schneider was Associate Professor of Surgery and Radiology at UCSF and received his M.D. from UCSD. 

Dr. Howard Riina

Dr. Howard Riina was the Co-Director of Interventional Neuroradiology and Professor of Neurological Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell.  Currently Professor and Vice Chair of Neurosurgery at NYU, Dr Riina received his M.D. from Temple University.

Dr. Sam Sharma

Dr. Sam Sharma is a Fulbright Scholar and surgical fellow based at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York. Dr. Sharma trained in general and colorectal surgery and practiced for 7 years in the UK before undertaking a PhD in stem cell molecular science at the University of Oxford. Dr. Sharma uses a convergence of different scientific disciplines to solve clinical medical problems, his primary interest being the development of endolumenal surgical technology. Dr. Sharma received his medical degree and training in the UK and is published extensively in academic literature.

Tracy Adams

Tracy Adams is the Program Manager for MINT with over 20 years experience in a variety of administrative management and finance roles in the legal and healthcare industries. Adams received her bachelor’s degree in Economics with a Specialization in Corporate Finance from Lehman College in New York.

Russell Corwin

Russell Corwin is a Biomedical Engineer for MINT, assisting in the research, design, prototyping, and characterization of MINT projects. Corwin has previous research in minimally invasive spinal stents and bio-mimetic in vitro testing methods. He received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and his graduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

Andrew Harvey

Andrew Harvey is one of MINT’s Biomedical Engineers, adding several years of experience in the design of medical devices, previously focused on spinal procedures.  Harvey helps research, design, test, and oversee the creation of all of MINT's products.  Harvey received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, at Santa Barbara.

Christopher Dillon

Christopher Dillon is the former Director of Business Development and Operations for the MINT program and was a founding member of the MINT team.  Dillon now serves as a consultant to the program. Before joining MINT, Dillon was a Director in the Strategy Office of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital where he led a number of technology and business process innovation programs with particular focus in the fields of GI, General Surgery, Oncology, Neuro and Vascular. Dillon received his BS from the University of Virginia and his MBA from Harvard Business School. 

Anh Nguyen

Anh Nguyen is the former Senior Biomedical Engineer at MINT with more than 20 years of engineering design, fabrication and medical device development experience.  Nguyen now serves as an advisor to the MINT program across a range of MINT projects. Nguyen received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. 

Laurence Lefebvre

Laurence Lefebvre is the former Director of Business Development for MINT and is now the Senior Director of Program Management at Lumendi. Lefebvre received her MBA from Harvard Business School, and an MS in Bioengineering from Imperial College London. Lefebvre worked in R&D in medical imaging at Mass General Hospital in Boston. Prior to joining MINT, Lefebvre was a consultant at Bain & Company with a strong focus on Healthcare.

Matthew Baird

Matthew Baird is the former Director of Operations and Strategy with over ten years’ experience in a range of healthcare policy, strategy and finance roles in the United Kingdom and United States. Baird is now the Director, Neurosciences Service Line for the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and Interim Director, Center for Advanced Digestive Care (CADC) for Weill Cornell Medicine. Baird obtained his undergraduate degree in Politics and Law from The University of Strathclyde, Scotland, and his MA in Political Science and MPA from Villanova University.
