As MINT advances ESP toward regulatory approval and clinical use, MINT is poised to develop the next generation of ESP: ESP Plus (ESP+), which will enable clinicians to simultaneously deliver multiple surgical tools into ESP’s therapeutic zone to perform advanced endolumenal surgical procedures.
In addition, MINT will develop a set of novel Flexible Articulating Surgical Tools (FAST). These FAST instruments will flexibly traverse the colon alongside standard endoscopes. While ergonomically interfacing with clinicians, FAST instruments will have articulating surgical tips that will for the first time allow clinicians to perform precise endolumenal surgical procedures.
